Public Sculpture Opportunity
Art Spaces-Wabash Valley Outdoor Sculpture Collections, Inc. is issuing a request for qualifications for a site-specific project to be located on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The opportunity is open to professional artists experienced in working with durable outdoor materials. Artist are encouraged to submit qualifications that will demonstrate their ability to create a meaningful, unique, and exciting work of art that encourages interaction and dialogue. The artist's budge fort this project is $38,000.
Postmark/electronic submission deadline for all materials is Wednesday March 19, 2014.

2014 Max Ehrmann Poetry Competition Announcements
The competition honors Terre Haute's internationally treasured poet, Max Ehrmann, whose works were inspired by a love for his own community, its natural surroundings, and the people in it.
The theme of this year's poetry contest was Treasureswith 270 poems received from 228 people.The competition was adjudicated by Jane Marek, Indiana author, photographer, and teacher.
The Awards Ceremony will be held in Rooney Library at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Wednesday April 16th, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Winning poems will be read and Ms. Marek will read some of her own works as well.
The competition was sponsored by St. Mary-of-the-Woods College with added support from Arts Illiana, Barnes & Noble at ISU, Big Picture, ISU Center for Community Engagement, ISU Department of English Creative Writing Committee, Delta Kappa Gamma, Downtown Terre Haute, Inc., The Golden Frame, River Wools, Vigo County Historical Society, and Wise Pies.
